Patti was born in Rochester, New York, but spent much of her formative years living in Europe after her family was relocated. It was this early exposure to a variety of high quality architectural styles that began her fascination with buildings, landscape, and art, inspiring her passion for design and her decision to pursue architecture as a career.

Patti received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo in 1993. She is a licensed architect in the State of California and member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). Her career has afforded her the opportunity to work on a broad range of residential, commercial, institutional and civic architecture projects in Portland, San Francisco, and London, England before returning to Southern California in 1999.

Since joining KAA in 2001, Patti has played an integral role in the completion of many custom residential and estate projects. As a Director, she leads the project team, overseeing development of every phase of design, production and execution. Her passion for design, attention to detail, and comprehensive architectural process has resulted in her projects being published in both Local and National architectural publications including Westside Magazine, LUXE, Western Interiors, and Architectural Digest.

About Us

Our design philosophy is predicated on deep, meaningful connections between the house and the land. Southern California is blessed with a nurturing environment that provides extraordinary opportunities for true indoor-outdoor living. The homes we design fulfill that promise with beauty and joy.

Our Thinking

The Mediterranean in Southern California

Architecture inspired by great traditions of the Mediterranean region has a long, rich history in California. The fruits of this long lineage flavor the character of our cities and dot the surrounding hillsides. At KAA Design, we have often found the Mediterranean architectures to be a perfect fit for our clients wishing to build here.
