KAA is proud to announce that celebrated landscape architect, Michael McGowan, has joined our landscape architecture practice as a Senior Project Manager.

As Senior Project Manager, Mr. McGowan will lead project teams, simultaneously supervising and coordinating the design, development and delivery of projects under the direction of KAA's Director of Landscape, Jerry Williams.

Mr. McGowan is a California-licensed landscape architect with more than 12 years of professional experience, responsible for the design and management of large-scale mixed-use projects, high-profile private residences, urban public spaces and demonstration gardens.

Throughout his career, Michael has worked on a wide range of public and private projects, including urban revitalization developments such as Hollywood Park, the Eastern Columbia Building and Confluence Park. Furthermore, he is an expert in sustainable design and has held project manager roles on several prominent LEED-guided, innovative sustainable projects - such as The Village of Santa Monica and Guadalupe Gardens, a recycled water demonstration garden in Santa Clara County, for which he received a Merit Award from the Northern California Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

"KAA’s Landscape Design practice is an extremely integral part of our creative business and we are thrilled to welcome such a talented and accomplished designer," said Grant Kirkpatrick, Founder and Principal of KAA. "We are confident that Michael’s expertise will be a great asset to the firm and our clients."
